India's need to be pro-active

Pakistan has never been shy of unilaterally inviting the international community to intervene on the Kashmir issue and now it is choosing a different avenue.

Undoubtedly Pakistan's prominent weapon against India has been its 'religion'. Using its clout among a group of Islamic nations it is trying newer pressure tactics against India. The Organisation of Islamic Conference or the OIC, a group of 57 Islamic countries, has appointed an observer on the Kashmir issue. It already has what it calls a 'contact group on Kashmir'.

India has issued a strong rebuttal but that is just not enough. For sixty years now, Pakistan has been rallying the international community against us on the Kashmir issue. India must start being pro-active in dealing with our sick neighbors raising and highlighting the plight of Balochs, Pashtuns and our territorial rights on Gilgit-Baltistan, including gross human rights abuses by its military such as this.

The softer we are more cornered we get and to tackle issues like this we must be pro-active and target the opposing forces at where it hurts most.
