Ok. The film (Adhurs) that mindless autocrats wanted to be boycotted in the telangana region was released and is running albeit with a high court protection order.

After all the opposition that was hyped up to the film's release if there is not even a few sporadic incidents of arson targetting there is two possibilities that would have caused it. One: police providing adequate protection to the cinemas screening the film. Two: some payments being made to people who were behind the boycott calls to keep their mouth shut and hands tied. The first possibility is a bit too remote and idealistic. The second is what many commoners like me would love to believe is true because I think that is all the fuss about it: blackmail and squeeze some big and quick bucks out of desperate businessmen.
