Our education system: a Comment

Thinking about special centers of education made me realise how we have been lacking in creating quality educational institutions in the state.

I tend to think that it is high time we take university level education seriously and invest in it. We need many more universities of better quality education programmes and infrastructure and also upgrade the existing ones. The existing system has so many loopholes and pretty outdated. There is not much emphasis on creativity.

For example, if I can have my way I am all up for at least a couple of women's universities in the state. I think there is enough need for that. These could be developed into centers of excellence. Of course we can name them after poetess Molla or Rani Rudrama Devi. Thats only for now. We may need more in the future to meet the demands of then.

I am not informed enough to make great observations on this issue but I am one of those that sincerely think that the evils of the current educational system that did not let me think enough in the early years of my adulthood should not be let to plague generations to come.
